The Imperial Villa of Potosí, located at 4070 meters above sea level in the Bolivian highlands, was founded in 1545 after the Spanish conquistadors discovered the existence of abundant veins of silver in the bowels of Cerro Rico. It is a pyramid-shaped mountain, copper colored, naked, without any vegetation, full of millions of stones and that watches over the entire city. Potosí was born and developed in its shadow. A history bathed in excess, barbarism, splendor and decadence. Currently during your visit we can immerse ourselves in those days of glory through the architectural legacy: colonial houses, balconies, cobblestone streets, religious convents, cathedrals and more modest churches.
